Very excited that the Fleet Foxes have announced a special edition 10” EP available exclusively at independent record stores starting on Record Store Day's Black Friday, November 24 (such a great potential holiday gift for any music lover you may know). Those interested in purchasing a copy can find an independent record store near them by visiting The EP features four of the band's songs, thoughtfully selected from a WFUV session recorded at New York's historic, Electric Lady Studios on June 13, 2017, days before their newest album Crack-Up was released.

WFUV (90.7 FM,, New York’s source for music discovery, is a noncommercial, member-supported public media service of Fordham University for 70 years. WFUV has received national recognition for its award-winning weekday format of adult album alternative music, award-winning local news and sports, and a diverse weekend lineup.

Electric Lady Studios is the oldest working and thriving recording studio in New York City. Made famous by Jimi Hendrix and classic 70s sessions with The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, and Patti Smith, among others, and maintains its reputation as the most hallowed grounds for recorded music.

Side A of the vinyl includes “Cassius, -” and “- Naiads, Cassadies” while Side B includes “Mearcstapa” and “On Another Ocean (January / June).” Each pair is recorded and cut as one long track to reflect the intentional fluidity between these songs, on both the album and in live performance.

Crack-Up (available here) comes six years after the 2011 release of Helplessness Blues - which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200, went Gold in the UK, and earned the band a GRAMMY nomination - and nearly a decade since the band’s 2008 self-titled debut. All eleven of the songs on Crack-Up were written by Robin Pecknold. The album was co-produced by Pecknold and Skyler Skjelset, his longtime bandmate, collaborator, and childhood friend.

Watch the video for “Fool’s Errand,” directed by Sean Pecknold with art direction by Adi Goodrich and produced by Society.
