The alarm goes off, you stretch, stumble out of bed, wash your face, and see your reflection in the mirror. Because your face is one of the first things that everyone sees (including yourself), it is super important to look well groomed. For women, one of the most important facial features is eyebrows. But is one method of grooming more effective than another? Tweezing, waxing, and threading are all different ways to keep your eyebrows looking neat. If you’re short on time and money, tweezing is your best bet. Make sure not to over-pluck; you can use a white eyeliner pencil to outline the shape you desire before you start plucking away. If you have a shaky hand and don’t trust yourself, you can get your eyebrows waxed. There are two main advantages: your hair will take longer to grow back than if you were to tweeze and the beautician will determine what is being waxed before she actually removes any hair. Two slight downsides are it is not as cheap as doing your eyebrows yourself and you’ll have a few minutes of irritation. But after that, it is well worth it! If neither of these appeals to you, check out threading. This method uses a twisted piece of cotton thread to remove short lines of facial hair. Because no chemicals are involved, it is great for any skin type, even sensitive skin. Be sure that your aesthetician has experience being that this technique has become popular only in the past few years. Taking care of yourself includes personal decisions and you should do what makes you feel comfortable so you can leave your house feeling healthy, confident, and fabulous.
