This year, KREWE du Optic participated in the festivities of White Linen Night by hosting their launch party at Dirty Coast.

White Linen Night is a New Orleans tradition which takes place every year on the first Saturday in August. Locals dress in white linen and flock to the art galleries of the Warehouse District for music, food and fun along Julia Street.

KREWE du Optic's party featured free drinks for the night provided by Old New Orleans Rum - a contrast to everyone else who was charging. KREWE also unveiled their cart - a tricycle sunglasses showcase - that featured a handmade display case made by a local artist.  The cart, which doubled as a sunglasses fitting room, was located outside for the evening, so anyone could feel free to come up and try on the glasses.

There are three different styles of frames: Toulouse, Calliope and The Fly; all unique and there's one to flatter every face shape. The two lovely ladies working the cart were available to answer any questions and give their opinions on which frame is the best fit for you.
The set up inside included two bars and another glasses display area. Photos from the KREWE du Optic lookbook photo shoots decorated the inside on several flat screens.  The inside display area had a table full of memorabilia for guests to take home, and also a place to drop a card for a chance to win a free pair of glasses.  To say KREWE is brand new on the market, they had a pretty good turn out and put together a nice launch.

Congrats on the launch, KREWE du Optic and we wish you the best of luck and lots of success with the line!
